Vienna is known as the City of Music and as such plays hosts to a number of wonderful concerts in the city's various churches. If you are planning to visit Vienna, we suggest you take in at least one concert in one of its churches.

  • Peterskirche -
  • The concerts at the Baroque Church of St. Peter are usually very popular. In this church you can listen to a wonderful performance of the Classic Ensemble Vienna who will perform wondrous interpretations of the works of Mozart, Strauss, Vivaldi, Bach, Brahms, Beethoven and more.

  • Krypta (Peterskirche) -
  • The Krypta room at St. Peter church is a very intersting venue for watching a concert. Here are the main events:

    • Operas in an intimate version, where the singer is accompanied by a piano.
    • Chamber music concerts that will include the most famous works of different composers.

  • St. Anne's Church -
  • Excellent acoustics at the St. Anne's Church in Vienna makes it a great venue for chamber music, featuring string quartets playing classic period music from many famous composers. In addition, you can find a special trumpet concerts that will include a various works from the best composers.

  • Karlskirche -
  • The Church of St. Charles in Vienna hosts a variety of concerts, including:

    • The four Seasons by Vivaldi.
    • The Requiem by Mozart.

  • Stephansdom -
  • St. Stephen's Cathedral is one of the major sites for classical music concerts in Vienna. You can expect to see performances of Four Seasons by Vivaldi and more. Towards the end of the year, on schedule are several concerts including hymns and songs for Christmas.
